What Is the World Luxury Travel Awards?

Established in 2020, the World Luxury Travel Awards is an international awards programme for travel establishments, organisations and experiences. It provides participants with an opportunity to present their services, destinations and distinctive strengths to travellers and travel professionals worldwide.

According to the official awards procedure, a travel establishment may nominate itself or be nominated by guests, travel agents or tour operators. Establishments that qualify are formally invited or accepted to register and participate.

Voting is conducted online during the designated voting season. Votes may come from travellers, visitors, website users, social media and newsletter followers, email contacts, staff, tour operators and industry peers.

The size of a participating establishment is not considered during the nomination or voting stages. Participants compete against other establishments entered in the same category.

Participation and winning are two different stages. An official voting profile confirms that a company is participating in the awards programme; it does not mean that the company has already won an award.

What Is Important About the 2026 Awards Season?

Voting Runs from 17 to 31 August 2026

The official 2026 timeline confirms that online voting takes place from 17 to 31 August 2026. Interim results and Gala bookings are scheduled to open on 1 September, while final results are expected on 26 October 2026.

Five Main Award Groups

The official award categories cover five broad areas of the travel industry:

• Air: airlines, airports, lounges and aviation services.
• Destination: tourism destinations, cultural attractions, parks and venues.
• Land: ground transportation, vehicle services and land-based journeys.
• Lifestyle: tour operators, travel agencies, DMCs, MICE operators and specialised travel experiences.
• Water: cruises, boats, marinas, ports and water-based travel services.

Tour Operator is listed as an official category within the programme, alongside related categories such as Destination Management Company, Inbound Tour Operator, MICE Operator, Package Tours and Private Tours.

Four Award Levels

Participants may compete at four levels:

• Country.
• Regional.
• Continent.
• Global.

Any award level and result can only be confirmed after voting has closed and the organiser has officially announced the outcome.

Two Official Gala Ceremonies

The official 2026 Gala schedule currently lists two ceremonies:

• 17 October 2026: JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel, Romania.
• 24 October 2026: Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok, Thailand.

The final results are scheduled for release on 26 October 2026.

Select VOTE and follow the on-screen confirmation instructions. Your vote is complete when the platform displays a successful confirmation.

The official procedure states that only one vote may be cast per email address, per establishment. The same email address may still vote for multiple establishments.
